WEDNESDAY SIGNATURE TURN-IN TO MARK THE END OF A SUCCESSFUL ARIZONA BALLOT DRIVE BY NADER/GONZALEZ PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN
JUNE 4, 2008--The Nader/Gonzalez presidential campaign today will celebrate the end of a massive petition drive for ballot status in Arizona with the submission of more than 50,000 signatures (21,759 signatures are required) to the Secretary of State.
At 8:30 a.m., following the signature submission, Nader/Gonzalez National Roadtrip Director, Justin Jeffre, (former singer with the Grammy-nominated band 98 Degrees) will join Arizona representatives of the Nader/Gonzalez campaign in a news conference at the Capitol Executive Tower, 7th Floor Lobby, 1700 West Washington Street, Phoenix, Ariz. 85007-2888. They will answer questions and talk about future plans in the state for the Nader/Gonzalez campaign.
In 2004 the Democratic Party and their allies used Arizona to initiate frivolous lawsuits aimed at keeping the Nader/Camejo ticket off the ballots in 18 states, denying voters the choice of an Independent candidacy for President and Vice President. In 2008 in Sen. John McCain's home state, a state that Democrats are likely to concede to the Republican nominee, the Nader/Gonzalez Campaign is cautioning the Democratic Party not to misuse the state's court system with baseless political challenges and to honor the will of the people for more choices on the ballot.
