Because of Ralph Nader we drive safer cars, eat healthier food, breath better air, drink cleaner water, and work in safer environments. His groups were instrumental in enacting the the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
There is much to be done saving the environment and making the world safe for future generations. On Saturday, April 19 at 5:30 pm, to mark the beginning of "Earth Week," Mr Nader will address the need for a carbon tax to deter global warming and a no-nuclear, solar-based energy alternative to the fossil-fuel economy ravaging the planet.
The corporate-sponsored Democratic and Republican candidates, Clinton/Obama/McCain, oppose these common-sense solutions while the Nader/Gonzalez Campaign promotes them. Hear about this and numerous other solutions the Nader/Gonzalez campaign and a majority of Americans favor, but Clinton/Obama/McCain oppose.
The rally will also kickoff a massive Nader/Gonzalez petition drive for ballot status in Virginia with a goal of to collecting 20,000 voters' signatures. Mr. Nader will discuss the campaign's Virginia ballot drive strategy.
Open to the public, $10 contribution at the door.
