Independent Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader to Hold Saturday Press Conference and Campaign Rally at Philadelphia's Constitution Center

Ralph Nader, the Independent candidate for president, will make a campaign stop in Philadelphia Saturday, April 5, with a news conference scheduled for 5:30 pm and campaign rally at 6 pm. Both events will be held in the National Constitution Center, located on Philadelphia's Independence Mall. In addition to Mr. Nader, speakers at the rally will include Pa. Attorney General Candidate Marakay Rogers, and John Murphy, a candidate for U.S. Congress. General admission $10, student and low-income $5, for the rally.
Apropos of an event in "the birthplace of democracy," Mr. Nader will speak about the growing movement for impeachment, the concept that "no person is above the law," ballot access restrictions in Pa. and the defense of democracy.
The Nader/Gonzalez 2008 campaign champions essential reforms opposed by the Democratic and Republican party candidates, including single payer national health insurance, cutting the huge, bloated, wasteful military budget, an aggressive crackdown on corporate crime and corporate welfare and the adoption of a Wall Street securities speculation tax.
